Head of School

This role involves a mix of leadership, administration, and community engagement. The Head of School is responsible for steering the school’s vision and mission, and is answerable to the Executive Head or Trust CEO.

Headship

A headteacher is the most senior leader in a school, responsible for overseeing the entire operation and ensuring that the school runs smoothly and effectively. It’s a demanding role that requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a deep commitment to education.

Executive head roles

An executive headteacher is a senior educational leader who oversees multiple schools within a trust, federation, or partnership. Unlike a traditional headteacher who focuses on a single school, an executive headteacher provides strategic leadership across several schools.
