Career Progression

Middle Leadership

Middle leadership roles in schools involve leading both teaching and learning within the classroom, as well as developing and implementing strategies across a departmental team. These roles require experienced educators to manage curriculum, support staff development, and drive school improvement initiatives.

ECT Mentor

An ECT Mentor supports early career teachers by providing guidance, feedback, and advice to help them navigate their first years in the profession. They assist with lesson planning, classroom management, and professional development to ensure new teachers succeed.

Special Needs

A specialist SEN teacher provides tailored education and support to students with special educational needs or disabilities. They work closely with these students to help them overcome physical, emotional, behavioral, or developmental challenges and achieve their full potential.

Deputy/Assistant Head

A deputy headteacher is the second-in-command at a school, supporting the headteacher in managing all aspects of school operations. They help implement school policies, oversee staff and student performance, and step in for the headteacher when needed.
