Subject Leadership
A subject leader is responsible for overseeing a specific subject area within a school, ensuring the curriculum is well-planned and meets educational standards. They support colleagues, manage resources, and monitor the quality of teaching and learning in their subject.
Year/Phase Leader
A year group/phase leader is responsible for overseeing the academic and pastoral care of students within a specific year group. They ensure high standards of teaching and learning, monitor student progress, manage behavior and attendance, and support both students and staff to create a positive and productive school environment.
Exam marker/moderator
An exam marker, or moderator, is responsible for evaluating and grading student examinations and confirming teacher judegements. They carefully assess work according to a specific marking scheme, ensuring accuracy and fairness in the grade decision.
